Tom Barrett, The Right Choice for Wisconsin

Tom Barrett, The Right Choice for Wisconsin

With 5 days left till the election, it is important more than ever to vote early to help get Tom Barrett elected as our next governor of Wisconsin. The race is closer than ever, and with every bit of extra help, Tom Barrett will be our next governor.

Tom has been very busy while on the campaign trail and he is fighting the good fight. He has been traveling around the state talking about his plans to get Wisconsin families working again, putting state government on a diet, and protecting the people of Wisconsin when it comes to health insurance and education.

When it comes to jobs, Tom has straight talk and honest plans to tackle our challenges and move Wisconsin forward. There is no more important issue in this campaign than getting WI working, and Barrett will fight for jobs. He is the only candidate with a real plan to create jobs. Tom has a 67 page plan that outlines specific, detailed ideas and policies to help create jobs. Tom will focus on manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, and high-tech companies.

Further, Tom has made education a priority in his campaign because it is the key to creating jobs, growing business, and bringing a successful future to Wisconsin.
Tom understands that we must work together to make college more affordable and accessible for Wisconsin’s working and middle class families. Tom has four children who have attended public schools and his wife, Kris, is a teacher. To get Wisconsin working again, we must make a commitment to our community colleges, technical schools, and four-year universities to educate our children and retrain our workforce for the jobs of tomorrow.

His opponent, Scott Walker, is too extreme and out of touch with the hard working families of Wisconsin. Walker has no real jobs plan, but instead mocked Barrett’s comprehensive job plan. And instead of fighting for the working and middle class families of Wisconsin, Walker would give tax cuts to the wealthiest in the state. To finance these cuts, Walker intends to alter BadgerCare so that less Wisconsinites can access the program for preventative and life-saving health treatments. Further, he wants to cut government funding for the pioneering embryonic stem cell research that gives so many families hope.

That is why before or on Nov. 2nd, you should vote for Tom Barrett. If you can, vote early and help the Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts starting this weekend until Election Day. Together, we will elect Tom Barrett as our next governor of Wisconsin.
