No Time for Jobs, But Plenty of Time for Right-Wing Social Engineering

No Time for Jobs, But Plenty of Time for Right-Wing Social Engineering

Scott Walker Republicans Engineer Abortion Vote

MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate in response to the Senate vote to limit insurance coverage of women's reproductive health.

"Without a real jobs agenda and with unemployment rising, the Senate Republicans went back to the only thing they really are good at-right-wing social engineering. This time, in lieu of jobs legislation, they chose to demagogue on the abortion issue in a way that will have several hideous side effects.

Women have been the special victims of the Scott Walker Republican Party, whether it is via deep cuts in education and health care to today's limiting of the ability of women to make their reproductive choices. And this much is clear: The future for women will only get worse with Scott Walker and his Republican Party in power."
