Upcoming Voter ID Information Sessions- Fond du Lac and Winnebago

Hello again!

Earlier this week, I emailed you about the Wisconsin state legislature passing one of the strictest voter identification bills in the country last year. We had one information session on voter ID and will be holding two more in case you missed it. One in Fond du Lac and one in Oshkosh. Anyone who wants to vote in the upcoming recall elections will be required to show a photo ID to be issued a ballot. There is much concern and misinformation floating around regarding this new law and what it means. In order to attempt to clear up misinformation and educate the general public, we will be holding two more public information sessions on the Voter ID law this coming week.

The first will be Monday, March 12th at the Fond du Lac County Party meeting at the FDL office at 21 N. Portland St. CLICK HERE TO RSVP FOR FOND DU LAC

What: Fond du Lac Voter ID Information Session
Where: 21 N. Portland Street, Fond du Lac.
When: Monday, March 12, 7:00-7:45 PM

The second will be Wednesday, March 14th at the Winnebago County Party Meeting at the Delta Restaurant starting at 7:00pm. CLICK HERE TO RSVP FOR WINNEBAGO

What: Winnebago Voter ID Information Session
Where: The Delta Restaurant, 515 N. Sawyer Street, Oshkosh.
When: Wednesday, March 14, 7:00-7:45 PM

It is vitally important that all citizens are aware of the provisions of this law. No one should be denied their constitutionally protected right to vote. We will arm ourselves with facts, and that is how we will win. Please attend and encourage anyone you know who has concerns about to the law to do the same.

CLICK HERE TO RSVP FOR FOND DU LAC Monday March, 12th at 7pm.

CLICK HERE TO RSVP FOR WINNEBAGO Wednesday March, 14th at 7pm.

Thank you for being engaged citizens. Because of your efforts, we will win this election and end Scott Walker's attack on Wisconsin's working families. If you have any questions about this event, reply to this e-mail or call us at (920) 385-0495.

Recall Update: 3/1/12

Walker’s millions can’t challenge the will of 1,000,000 Signatures!

You heard it right, Walkers efforts to raise unlimited corporate out of state dollars
isn't helping him challenge the million plus petition signatures. Together all of you, with tens
of thousands of other volunteers, stood out in the cold, rain, snow and took time off to collect
twice the needed number of signatures in the allotted time frame. Scott Walker with his millions
in dirty cash can’t follow the rules and whined on Monday that he didn’t have enough time to
verify the signatures in the generous time frame set by the GAB. This is after the GAB gave him
an extension from ten days to thirty days!

All of us at the office here including Kyle, Jess, Amy, Trinity, Sarah, Erich and myself are
all thankful for the work you have done thus far. The Oshkosh Office has entered over 4,500
petition pages since we started three weeks ago. Congratulations, this is your accomplishment.
We are starting a Thousand Signature Club in the office for our heavy hitters, if you want to join, ask and we will sign you up. Also we have very few people signed up for the weekend. Please
look into helping out this Saturday and Sunday, we really need your help.

If you want to take a break from Data Entry and want to knock some doors, Organizing
for America is going to be doing door knocking this Saturday March 3rd. They will be starting
the first canvass at 10am and the second at 1pm. This effort will be key to ensuring we turn out
the vote against Scott Walker by helping people get their new voter IDs and understanding the
new law. If you would like to help OFA, please call the office at 920-385-0495 or email me at
aaronca@wisdems.org.

We will also be having Voter ID Info Sessions starting next week. The first will be held
at 480 N. Main Wednesday night at 6:30pm. This session is meant to give our volunteers
accurate information on the impact of the new voter ID law as well as brief primer on what our
plans are to tackle this issue. I will communicate when the next sessions are scheduled asap.
